I loved the style of these plates. We had a set of corelle that I loved for durability, but they lacked any sense of style. I was so excited to find these dishes. We bought one set of squared in red and a set of orange circular plates. I loved the dishes at first. They were gorgeous. I didn't however like how heavy they were or how large they ended up being. It has been a challenge to find the space needed for all of our dinnerware. I was very disappointed to find that these dishes did not hold up as well as the original Corelle. Within a week the first dish broke after being dropped in the sink. We have had chips and nicks taken out of almost every cup and bowl and several plates and a bowl have kicked the bucket. I have only had the set for two years and based on my experience with Corelle I figured we would have these for the next decade of our life. Unfortunately I am now shopping for dishes again. My husband and I find ourselves hoping we will break another one to justify getting rid of the entire set! For the price I would not make the same purchase again as I don't feel that they held up any better than any other set of less expensive porcelain dishes I have had. I will be sticking with the original Corelle.

I love these dishes! They are a little heavy, but i like that. The bowls are deep. I love the design. Sucks they discontinued this design.

I was so excited when I saw this item. I thought, "Finally, Corelle dinnerware in red!!" so I ordered two sets. Wow, when it arrived, it was HEAVY and when I saw the dinnerware, I was heartbroken. The plates are HUGE and HEAVY... Honestly, the dinner plate looks like a serving platter! I realize it said Hearthstone, but hey, Corelle dishes, in my mind, are thin, resistent to breakage and are very light weight and easy to store. These beasts are gonna be hard to store and carry in a stack.
I live in Hawaii and shipping is exorbitant, so I will have to live with them.
They are good for maybe a heavy pasta dinner or steak and 'tater dinner... But they are not like my other Corelle sets at all.
