just because oprah tore this man into 1000 tiny little pieces don't mean that you shouldn't give this book a chance. a phenomenal, can't put down, deep, influential read. loved this, i have passed it on to everyone.

I like the author, the premise was very interesting and the book started out promising. But James Frey must still be hurting over the coal raking he got from Oprah and the rest of the media, because he uses this book to lambast the media for just about everything that is wrong in the world.

Less grandstanding and preaching, and more concentrating on the characters themselves would have made this a much better book.

This book was advertised to be a hardcover book. It is not hardcover but paper back. I was very disappointed as I purchased this book for a gift.
